Ensemble sign-ups for interested players will become available at the end of October, 2026. 

Fans of last season's The Good, The Brass & The Ugly will be excited for this year's narrative concert, a one-shot Dungeons & Dragons campaign featuring incidental music by Robby Good, actors and more!

LAB-A's annual new music concert and season closer returns for 2027! We'll bring brass ensemble to the 21st century with the help of LA-based emerging composers. 

Information regarding composer applications will be available in December of 2026. In the meantime, we invite you to peruse prior iterations of Next Up during our 2024, 2025 and 2026 concerts. 

Futures Past explored once and possible futures for brass music, as imagined by composers Gabrieli, Samuel Barber, Fisher Tull, Patrick O'Malley and Jonathan Bingham. Thanks to those who joined us in CSUN's Shigemi Matsumoto Recital Hall for an evening of baroque favorites, 20th century inventions and LAB-A commissions from LA-based composers.  

We had a blast at our annual season kickoff, where we read through some of our greatest hits and welcomed over 50 members old and new back to LAB-A for our 26-27 season! Special thanks to guest conductor Morgan Kelly Moss, who led the ensemble with enthusiam and verve.
