Hannah Lee is a freelance horn player in Los Angeles. She attended the Manhattan School of Music Precollege from ages 14 to 18 and studied under Sharon Moe. She studied with Leelanee Sterrett Rutgers University and graduated with her Bachelor of Music degree in 2022. While classically trained, her experience with the jazz ensemble in a Gil Evans tribute at
Rutgers led to her discovery of a love for contemporary music. She graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2024 with her Master of Music under the mentorship of Amy Sanchez.
Hannah has performed with organizations such as the Litha Symphony Orchestra, the New York Youth Symphony Orchestra, and the Santa Monica Symphony. She recently performed with the artist Raye at her debut on the 67th Annual Grammy Awards in 2025.
Hannah is passionate about discovering new repertoire not just as a horn player, but overall as a musician. She believes it is important for all musicians to be knowledgeable not only about great works from the past but also about great works from the present; a knowledgeable musician is able to use the intersection of classical, jazz, and contemporary music as a breeding
ground for new ideas that propel the field of music into the future while simultaneously honoring the past.
Hannah is also passionate about having multiple outlets of creative expression. She is a freelance digital and film photographer as well as an amateur artist in her spare time.
