Wellington Lima

Audio/Visual Producer


Wellington Lima is a Brazilian trumpet player and audio/visual producer who lives in Los Angeles, California. Lima has an academic degree from the Federal University of João Pessoa, in Brazil, with a Master's degree in Trumpet, Bachelor's degree in Trumpet and Bachelor's degree in Music Education. His musical experience initiated at 13 years old in high schools and music schools in his hometown covering popular and classical musical genres. Lima has orchestral experience, having performed since he was 18 years old in the Pernambuco Youth Symphony Orchestra and the Youth Symphony Orchestra of the Pernambucano Conservatory, and was principal trumpet player in the João Pessoa Symphony Orchestra for 8 years. He has taught classes, masterclasses, recitals and served as main trumpet player at Brazilian festivals. In 2017 he participated the International Trumpet Guild (ITG) conference in Hershey, Pennsylvania playing in a recital during the event. His orchestral experience went beyond the concert hall, participating in audiovisual productions on Digital Versatile Disc DVD-Video with Antúlio Madureira and Quinteto Violado. In addition to his orchestral career in the classical music genre, Lima also experienced new horizons with Brazilian popular music, working with artists such as Maestro Spok - SpokFrevo Orquestra, Silvério Pessoa, André Rio, Maestro Duda and many others.


A dedicated educator, Mr. Lima, maintains his regular project of teaching the trumpet remotely and producing didactic content for non-face-to-face teaching. Wellington Lima works in person at the music schools Hayfield Music in La Crescenta and Lee’s Music in Arcadia, both located in California, teaching trumpet classes to students of different ages and also continues to teach private classes. Wellington Lima is also a music producer with phonographic works published on the main streaming platforms such as Spotify, Deezer, Apple Music etc. He develops audiovisual and filmmaker work with projects that promote professional artists and students who wish to promote their art using digital audiovisual vehicles. Wellington Lima currently participates in some ensembles such as the Los Angeles Brass Alliance, California Young Artists Symphony, Westside Youth Orchestra, Azusa Pacific Symphony Orchestra and is part of the Artist Certificate Program at Azusa Pacific University.
